Basketball Recap: Jahmir Parker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Edgecombe over Northwest Halifax

North Edgecombe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwest Halifax Vikings. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 62-36.

North Edgecombe lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jahmir Parker, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, Parker is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. Isavius Arrington was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

North Edgecombe now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Northwest Halifax, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.
