Baseball Recap: High Tech NC Extends Winning Streak to Three

High Tech NC put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-2 last Tuesday.

Desmond McDonald made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. McDonald was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Aiden Butler was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Butler is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Xavier Salvatore, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4.

High Tech NC always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Joseph Academy only posted an OBP of .345.

High Tech NC's record is now 3-0. As for St. Joseph Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, High Tech NC will face off against High Tech SD at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. High Tech SD's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so High Tech NC's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will square off against Borrego Springs at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
