Softball Recap: Abingdon/Avon Comes Up Short

Abingdon/Avon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Annawan-Wethersfield, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tornadoes fell just short of the Titans by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tornadoes have suffered against the Titans since April 28, 2022.

Abingdon/Avon saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kallie Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Abingdon/Avon dropped their record down to 7-16 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Annawan-Wethersfield, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-15.

As of now, neither Abingdon/Avon nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
