Basketball Game Preview: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Grandview Prep Pride

The Braddock Bulldogs will take on the Grandview Prep Pride in a tournament on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Grandview Prep is hoping to do what Coconut Creek couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Braddock's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Braddock walked away with a 63-54 win over Coconut Creek.

Meanwhile, Grandview Prep had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three last Saturday. They blew past the Tigers 77-42. Given the Pride's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Tigers are ranked 680th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Braddock better keep an eye on Jamir Davis. He was instrumental in Grandview Prep's win, going 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points along with six assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Burrow, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Grandview Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Braddock has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Grandview Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
