Basketball Recap: Beddingfield Takes a Loss

Beddingfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 65-50 fall against the Greene Central Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 62-53 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Despite the loss, Beddingfield still got an impressive performance from Jamauris Howard, who went 6 of 15 en route to 18 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave Howard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jhion Ashby, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Greene Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Cetnar, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Wilson, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Beddingfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Beddingfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-49 win against Nash Central on the 4th. As for Greene Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-46 victory against North Lenoir on the 4th.
