Johnson Central won the last time they faced Belfry and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 5-2 win over the Pirates. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Johnson Central got a great performance from Karson Powers as he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Johnson Central's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason McKenzie, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI McKenzie has posted since April 1st. Another was Colin Cantrell, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Johnson Central's record now sits at 16-7. As for Belfry, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
