Softball Recap: Bayard Rustin Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Bayard Rustin never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Oxford Hornets with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Golden Knights in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

Ashley Falcone made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sarah Wood was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Joslyn Garner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
