Basketball Recap: Wyatt Edwards and Colin Williamson Secure Win for Scott

Scott came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over the Sherman Tide on Saturday. The contest marked the Skyhawks' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Leading Scott to victory were Colin Williamson and Wyatt Edwards. Williamson went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points, while Edwards went 6 for 7 en route to 12 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Elkins, who posted six points and six assists.

The win got Scott back to even at 4-4. As for Sherman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott will welcome Poca at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Poca has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sherman, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against St. Joseph Central at 2:30 p.m.
