            Volleyball Recap: Edon Bombers vs. Liberty Center Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            If Edon was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Holgate on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bombers fell just short of the Liberty Center Tigers by a score of  2-1 on Saturday. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Bombers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Edon sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25,  25-17.
 Edon's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Avery Aldrich, who  had 14  digs and two  assists.  Grace Ripke was another key player,  getting eight  digs and five  kills.
Edon's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Liberty Center, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home.
 Coincidentally, Edon and Liberty Center will both be playing Hicksville the next time they take the court. The Bombers will  host the Aces at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 12:00  p.m.
