Baseball Game Preview: Daleville Broncos vs. Eastern Hancock Royals

The Daleville Broncos will venture away from home to face off against the Eastern Hancock Royals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Daleville has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Daleville's last matchup with Alexandria-Monroe could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Broncos lost 13-3 to the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Hayden Rouse was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-2. Jalen Helderbrand also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Eastern Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Daleville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Eastern Hancock's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Daleville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. It's a different story for Eastern Hancock, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Daleville's hitters?

Daleville came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern Hancock when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
