Soccer Recap: Magee Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Magee hadn't done well against Pelahatchie recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand the Chiefs a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Magee, who have now won ten matches by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Pelahatchie with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Roxanna Barnett (4), Zoe Miller, Yazmin Gomez, and Kaylee Brown.

Magee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four contests. As for Pelahatchie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Magee will head out to square off against Clarkdale at 2:00 p.m. on February 7. As for Pelahatchie, they will venture away from home to face off against Winona at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
