After a string of four wins, Oak Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mukwonago Indians by a score of 2-1. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Isa Ruether paced Oak Creek's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ruether got some help from Julia Schneider and her 26 assists. Ava Cordelli and Samantha Stikel kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Mukwonago was led to victory by Bella Boyd and Hannah Vermuelen. Boyd had seven aces, while Vermuelen had 12 digs and one assist. Those seven aces gave Boyd a new career-high.

Oak Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 27-16. As for Mukwonago, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-19.

Oak Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Oshkosh West on the 18th. As for Mukwonago, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Arrowhead on the 18th.
