Baseball Preview: Calistoga Wildcats vs. Technology Titans
Calistoga is 1-9 against Technology since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Calistoga Wildcats are on the road again to play the Technology Titans at 6:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Calistoga fell victim to a tough 18-1 defeat at the hands of Sonoma Academy.
Meanwhile, Technology had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Braves out 6-5.
Grayson Worden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Worden was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Tyler Hankerson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.
Calistoga's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Technology, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
