Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jana Borham and Andrea Sedillo Lead Centennial to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Las Cruces, Centennial was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Alamogordo Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 7th.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-11, 25-16.

Centennial was led to victory by Andrea Sedillo and Jana Borham. Sedillo had ten digs and three assists, while Borham had eight assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Borham has posted since back in September.

Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matchups.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Alamogordo, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial is set to challenge their familiar foe Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alamogordo will square off against rival Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
