Basketball Recap: Winona Comes Up Short

Winona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 51-44 to the Yazoo County Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-43 on January 3rd.

Winona's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Yazoo County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-13.

Winona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-47 defeat against Amanda Elzy on the 28th. Yazoo County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
