Lone top 25 matchup features No. 11 Orange Lutheran at No. 6 Santa Margarita.

This is the week before the huge Trinity League showdown between No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) and No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower), but there's still a host of intriguing matchups across the state.

The lone top 25 contest features No. 11 Orange Lutheran (Orange) at No. 6 Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita)

The Lancers, who appeared in the MaxPreps Top 25 national rankings earlier this season, come in riding a three-game losing streak at 3-3 against a tough national schedule. After beating Serra (Gardena), De La Salle (Concord) and Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.), they have lost to Chandler (Ariz.), Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) and JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano).

The 4-2 Eagles are coming off a 42-7 loss to Bosco, but have a season-opening win over West (Salt Lake City). The other loss is to national No. 19 Centennial (Corona).

Mater Dei takes on No. 12 JSerra Catholic while St. John Bosco hosts No. 24 Servite (Anaheim).

No. 10 Clovis North (Fresno), fresh off a 31-21 win over rival Clovis East (Clovis), tangles with 5-1 Clovis on Friday. Junior running back Jackson Cinfel has run for 808 yards and eight scores for the Broncos.

Luke Baker and No. 18 San Ramon Valley (Danville) travel to perennial NorCal power Clayton Valley Charter (Concord) on Friday. Baker has thrown for 1,506 yards on 89 of 138 passing and 18 touchdowns for the 5-0 Wolves. The Ugly Eagles come into Friday's game at 2-3 following a 26-0 loss to Jesuit (Carmichael) last week.
