Soccer Game Preview: Glades Day vs. Pahokee

The Glades Day Gators will venture away from home to take on the Pahokee Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pahokee took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Glades Day, who comes in off a win.

Glades Day's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Moore Haven. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won three games by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pahokee fell victim to South Fork and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 179th).

Pahokee's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Glades Day, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1.

Glades Day came out on top in a nail-biter against Pahokee in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Glades Day since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
