Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Austin Waldorf Roadrunners 61-19. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 59-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Summit Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Austin Waldorf, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Summit Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Valor Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valor Preparatory Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Summit Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Austin Waldorf, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Griffin School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
