Basketball Recap: South Tahoe Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Tahoe waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over the Hug Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 58-44 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Tahoe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ronan Fisher, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Kai McClain was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

South Tahoe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

South Tahoe has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Hug, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

South Tahoe has already played their next match (against North Valleys), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hug will head out to face off against Wooster at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wooster knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Hug likes a good challenge.
