Baseball Recap: Lowell Triumphs

Lowell's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the North Douglas/Elkton Warriors by a score of 14-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Lowell let Henley Garner and Wyatt McNamee run wild. Garner went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while McNamee went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Garner has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Lowell's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for North Douglas/Elkton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowell will face off against Oakland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Douglas/Elkton, they will venture away from home to challenge Umpqua Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
