Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Center Grove walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Franklin Central Flashes on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Gabby Gilliard paced Center Grove's offense, picking up 14 kills. Gilliard got some help from Anabelle Schembra and her 36 assists. Kaylen Plunkard controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Franklin Central still got an impressive performance from Emily Williams, who had 28 assists and four digs. Williams has been hot for a while, having posted 20 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

Center Grove's win bumped their record up to 26-9. As for Franklin Central, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-11.

Center Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Yorktown on the 25th. Franklin Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
