Basketball Game Preview: Severance Silver Knights vs. Northridge Grizzlies

Severance hasn't had much luck against Northridge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Severance Silver Knights will challenge the Northridge Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. Severance has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Severance is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 68-28 victory over Wellington. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Silver Knights with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Northridge waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They breezed past the Mountain Lions to the tune of 53-26. The Grizzlies pushed the score to 44-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mountain Lions had little chance of recovering from.

Northridge pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Severance, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Severance came up short against Northridge when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Northridge's Sophia Carbajal, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
