Central Heights suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Central Heights Blue Devils vs. Diboll Lumberjacks

The Central Heights Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Diboll 45-39. Central Heights was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Diboll apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Diboll got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jadarian Kennerew out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kennerew is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Latavian Forney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.

Central Heights' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Diboll, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Heights will challenge Woodville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Diboll on the road again on Friday and play against Pollok Central at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Pollok Central will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
