Volleyball Recap: Louise Comes Up Short

Louise lost against Schulenburg back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Shorthorns. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Louise was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Schulenburg's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-13.

Schulenburg was led to victory by Jenna Guentert and Michaela Kollmann. Guentert had 13 digs and one assist, while Kollmann had seven digs and two aces. Guentert is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Louise's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Schulenburg, they pushed their record up to 23-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Louise wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Weimar on the 26th. As for Schulenburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Shiner on the 27th.
