Springfield Southeast is a perfect 10-0 against MacArthur since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Generals at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Springfield Southeast is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Mt. Pulaski on Friday. They came up short against the Hilltoppers, falling 9-1. The Spartans have struggled against the Hilltoppers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to Warrensburg-Latham.

MacArthur saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamison England, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Dre'Tarius Stewart also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Springfield Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
