Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Poth, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Gonzales on Tuesday, sneaking past 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since January 31st.

Poth pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points on average this season. As for Eagle Pass, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
