Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Lancers vs. Liberty Bison

The Lakeside Lancers will venture away from home to challenge the Liberty Bison at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 20.

Lakeside came up short against Valley View on Friday, falling 8-1.

David Rodriguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat Poly on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Vogt, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Lakeside couldn't quite finish off Liberty in their previous meeting back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
