Softball Recap: East Valley Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

After only two runs in their last contest, East Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Central on Tuesday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 29-3 margin over the Wolfpack. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

East Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for North Central, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Valley will take on Rogers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Central, they will square off against West Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Wolfpack will no doubt try to take advantage of.
