Baseball Recap: Melbourne Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Melbourne Central Catholic lost against Merritt Island back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hustlers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Melbourne Central Catholic got a good showing from Levi Rollinger, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Rollinger has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Melbourne Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Merritt Island, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Melbourne Central Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 22-1 victory against Port St. Lucie on the 27th. As for Merritt Island, they have also already played their next game, a 22-0 win against Cocoa on the 28th.
