Softball Recap: Smithtown West Comes Up Short

Smithtown West managed to slip by Kings Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Smithtown West lost 13-7 to Kings Park on Saturday. Smithtown West was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kings Park apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Gabrielle Krayewski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jiselle Singh, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Smithtown West's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Kings Park, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Smithtown West has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 win against Centereach on the 7th. Kings Park has also already played their next game (against Sayville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
