Softball Recap: Seguin Takes a Loss

Seguin lost against Joshua back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Owls, falling 12-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seguin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dariana Martin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Seguin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Joshua, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Seguin will look to defend their home field on Friday against Burleson at 5:30 p.m. The Elks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Joshua, they will head out to square off against Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
