Softball Recap: West Columbus Takes a Loss

West Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to the East Bladen Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 last Tuesday.

West Columbus saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hanna Lilly, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

West Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for East Bladen, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Columbus will square off against rival Pender at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, East Bladen is set to take on their familiar foe Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
