Football Game Preview: Northern Valley vs. Osborne

If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Osborne. They will challenge Northern Valley on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Northern Valley will need to watch out since Osborne have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.

Last Friday, Osborne put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Wilson as the team secured a 52-0 win. Among those leading the charge for Osborne was junior Darrien Holloway, who rushed for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns. Holloway has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.

Meanwhile, Northern Valley were able to grind out a solid victory over Sylvan-Lucas, winning 28-20. The success made it back-to-back wins for Northern Valley.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 5-1. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
