Baseball Recap: Providence Christian Snaps 12-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Providence Christian came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Tallassee Tigers, falling 13-3.

Providence Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Sharp, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Providence Christian's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs over those games. As for Tallassee, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Christian will venture away from home to challenge Marbury at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tallassee, they will head out on the road to face off against Saint James at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
