Basketball Recap: Geneva Takes a Loss

Geneva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 59-35 to the Edgewood Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 695th, while the Warriors are ranked 302nd).

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Edgewood, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Geneva will welcome Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Geneva is facing Lakeside at the right time seeing as Lakeside is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Edgewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maplewood at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
