Softball Recap: Berean Christian Beats Miramonte for Their Fourth Straight Win

Berean Christian proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Miramonte Matadors, sneaking past 12-11. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

The team relied heavily on Leila Rhoads, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. Isabella Tafoya was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Berean Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.

Berean Christian pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Miramonte, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will host Las Lomas at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miramonte, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Concord at 4:30 p.m. The Matadors are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
