Palmetto gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They claimed a resounding 96-39 victory over the Ferguson Falcons. With the Panthers ahead 66-25 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Palmetto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samfree Sarante, who shot 54% from the field on his way to 18 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Horton, who went 7-for-14 en route to 22 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmetto is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Divine Savior Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ferguson, they will head out to square off against Mater Academy Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
