Basketball Recap: Tate Snyder Key Part of Team Effort in Black Tornado Win

North Medford hadn't done well against South Medford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The North Medford Black Tornado walked away with a 49-41 victory over the South Medford Panthers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

North Medford's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tate Snyder, who posted eight points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Snyder a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Easton Curtis, who scored 11 points.

North Medford's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-10. As for South Medford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

As of now, neither North Medford nor South Medford have any future games scheduled.
