Volleyball Recap: Dixie County Bears vs. Bronson Eagles
Dixie County's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Bronson Eagles as the Dixie County Bears made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2020.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-6, 25-19.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dixie County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaicee Brown, who had 17 digs and three aces. Brown is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Edmonds, who hit 100% for 11 kills12 aces and eight digs.
She wasn't the only good server: Dixie County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.
Dixie County's record is now 9-12. As for Bronson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie County will welcome Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside is coming into the game with six straight defeats on the road, meaning Dixie County will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Bronson, they will play host again on Tuesday to welcome P.K. Yonge, where the match is scheduled at 6:00 p.m.
