Basketball Recap: Yoncalla Takes a Loss

Yoncalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 62-22 defeat at the hands of North Douglas. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while North Douglas are ranked 75th).

Yoncalla's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for North Douglas, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yoncalla will take on Camas Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Douglas, they will square off against Country Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. North Douglas knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Country Christian likes a good challenge.
