Island Coast waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Evangelical Christian Sentinels. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sentinels, too.

Hayden Hudson looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Island Coast's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jayven Torres, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Island Coast's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Evangelical Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Island Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evangelical Christian, they will square off against Gulf Coast H at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
