Baseball Recap: Hanna Comes Up Short

Hanna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds.

Joseph Ruiz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Hanna's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for St. Joseph Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

When Hanna and St. Joseph Academy next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hanna will try to stop Harlingen South's four-game winning streak when they meet at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hanna's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so St. Joseph Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy will square off against Raymondville and their three-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
