Last Saturday, Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet was able to grind out a solid victory over Lawson, taking the game 54-46.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hume-Fogg beat Maplewood 63-59 on Saturday. Given the Blue Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Panthers are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Hume-Fogg, their victory bumped their record up to 23-3.
