Softball Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison fell victim to Oak Glen and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Bears. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Edison and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-0 Weir (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 81.8% over those games). As for Oak Glen, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

When Edison and Oak Glen next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Wildcats will challenge Meadowbrook and their six-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oak Glen will try to stop Weir's six-game winning streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
