Football Recap: North Gaston Wildcats vs. South Point Red Raiders
North Gaston had lost nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it ten. They were outmatched by the South Point Red Raiders and fell 53-0. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 24th).
As for South Point, their record is now 5-2. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won four contests by 25 points or more so far this season.
South Point was led to victory by Kaveaun Pless and Patrick Blee.
