Football Game Preview: Valley Forge vs. Parma

Parma are packing up and hiking across state lines for their matchup on Friday. They take on Valley Forge at 7:00 PM. Parma don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

There's no need to mince words: Parma lost to Homedale last Thursday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-63. Parma were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-43.

The crowd came for a game, and Valley Forge and Rocky River sure delivered. It was a game that couldn't have wound up any closer, but Valley Forge snuck past Rocky River for the 28-27 victory. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.

Valley Forge's win lifted them to 5-2 while Parma's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. We'll find out if Valley Forge can add another positive mark to their record or if Parma can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Valley Forge's step.
