North Charleston has gone 6-0 against Hanahan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The North Charleston Cougars will face off against the Hanahan Hawks at 8:30 p.m. North Charleston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Hanahan likes a good challenge.
North Charleston is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 90-52 victory over Military Magnet Academy. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

North Charleston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marcus Simmons led the charge by putting up 12 points. Simmons has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Richard Hazel III, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and six assists.
North Charleston smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hanahan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 76-35 defeat at the hands of Georgetown. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 66th).
North Charleston will need focus on slowing down Justin Maduro, one of several Hanahan players who made an impact when they last played. He put up three points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Gallus, who had four points along with ten boards and three blocks.
North Charleston is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Hanahan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Charleston has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Hanahan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for North Charleston against Hanahan in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 73-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Charleston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
