Baseball Game Preview: Campbell County Cougars vs. Karns Beavers

For the second straight game, Campbell County will face off against Karns. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Campbell County has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Campbell County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 24 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Karns on Wednesday. They came up short against the Beavers, falling 11-1.

Campbell County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keegan Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Karns' victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 11-12. As for Campbell County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
