Basketball Game Preview: Palmdale Falcons vs. Littlerock Lobos

The Palmdale Falcons will face off against the Littlerock Lobos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmdale is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Palmdale's tournament run continued when they took on Birmingham on Saturday. Palmdale took a blow against Birmingham, falling 97-34. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1083rd, while the Patriots are ranked 485th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ethan Thornton, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Toles, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Littlerock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Nordhoff 78-29 on Saturday. The Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Littlerock pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.2 points. As for Palmdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Things could have been worse for Palmdale, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-54 loss to Littlerock in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Palmdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
