Baseball Recap: Serra Gets the Win

While Serra's win against Leuzinger wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Olympians on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win made it two in a row for Serra and bumps their season record up to 14-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Leuzinger, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Looking ahead, Serra will host St. Paul at 3:15 p.m. on the 24th. As for Leuzinger, they will face off against Morningside at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Olympians are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
